Wear-resisting property of the mesh belt chain
The mesh belt chain in operation will be affected by material impact and friction, so the wear resistance is one of its important technical indicators. Generally speaking, the wear-resisting performance of the mesh belt chain is related to the following factors:
(1) The material and hardness of the chain piece. The material and hardness of the chain has a direct effect on its wear resistance. Common chain materials are carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, hardness is generally between HRC40-50. In the selection of mesh belt chain should be based on the actual material properties to choose the appropriate material and hardness, to ensure the wear resistance of the chain.
(2) Precision and material of sprocket. The precision and material of the sprocket determine the fit quality and fatigue life of the sprocket. Generally speaking, the surface hardness of the sprocket should be between HRC45-55, the surface precision is required to be higher, in order to match with the chain piece to achieve better wear resistance.
(3) Lubrication method and lubricating oil. Lubrication also has a certain effect on the wear resistance of the mesh belt chain. Common lubrication methods include drip lubrication, spray lubrication, immersion lubrication and so on. The selection and addition of lubricating oil should also be selected according to the actual situation, in order to improve the quality of lubrication between the sprocket and the chain.
